JAN. 05, 2010 > HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
And what a year it's been! What started out a while back as an historic reunion of Riot's famed 1988 lineup fizzled before the band could finish a single song, despite triumphant performances at Sweden Rock, Metalway in Spain, and 3 sold out shows in Osaka and Tokyo. We have no doubt that Riot will continue with a new singer, as Tony was asked to step down due to differences about how to proceed with the future of the band. We wish them all the success they deserve and hope to cross paths on the road later this year. Unfortunate as that may be for Riot fans, and much to the dismay of Tony and Mike who, like the rest of the guys, spent almost a year practicing and preparing to reproduce those mind-blowing 'Thundersteel' and 'Privilege of Power' tunes, it sets the stage for the return of Faith And Fire with a NEW ALBUM AND TOUR in 2010. Check back soon for details and previews of the new material. Mike, Danny, John and Tony send best wishes for a peaceful, prosperous and, above all, ROCKIN' New Year to all our friends!
